Congratulations! I mean you have discovered “Rodder’s Blogger”and right now you are probably wondering what the heck and who we are. Well let me shed some light on the subject for you.

You are here simply because you share the passion for hot rods like millions of rodder’s around the world, (with over 500,000 searches on the internet every month to be exact) this hot rod site is here purely to help you and other’s get as many hot rod / rat rod projects out of the so called scrap iron graveyards and back on the road.

Found a 1936 Ford

Found a 1936 Ford

And there is only one way I can see that happening. Guess what, it all starts with you the enthusiast.

Well how else do you make it happen if it doesn’t start with yourself, we’ve all got to get motivated some how and just by looking through the local paper every week isn’t going to cut it all the time either. Don’t get me wrong, some gems can be found within the paper’s and you can still find them out in those woods too, as you can see with the date on the photo.

It all comes down to personal taste to, being either Ford, Chev, Buick, Dodge, Willy’s, and don’t pass up on the trucks either, many great ones are showing up at rod runs all over the world, especially in the format of rat rods.

Fibreglass has been the option chosen for many years and they too need many ideas put forward to complete them as a hot rod.

So why don’t we all just go out and buy a fibreglass body? For most of us it all gets off to a start with a big frown on the budget, but it doesn’t have to!

Many fibreglass street rod body’s ( we’ll call them glass ) are sold in the form of the  so called floppy body’s which are basically just plucked out of the mould with no steeling out or reinforcement as yet. This leaves you to steel it out yourself at home when the time permits, leaving you with very little body preparation, these day’s you can be on the road sooner than later.

So why “Rodder’s Blogger”? Well if you have tried to build a house or simply a garage without a plan your going to be scratching your head for quite a while little alone getting it past inspection. Yes that’s right! hot rods will need to be inspected for safety issues too.

First up, Let’s just call this a sticky site, I mean get some traction happening and learn to build your own hot rod or street rod from your very own garage and with the help from rodder’s all over the world.

Building them in your own garage saves you money.

Building them in your own garage saves you money.

Learn how others are building their projects, and how they have come up against problem solving by using those choice parts from many donor cars.

It is so much easier today rather than yesteryears with the help from so many different manufacturers producing many aftermarket parts and not forgetting the billet stock as well.

You will see and share ideas from rodder’s all over the world to help show you the tips and tricks from many projects, including yourself shareing your own ideas and   asking for help to solve your own problem’s.

Without a doubt you can experience a fast approach, the understanding, the jargon and have the confidence to create that pile of metal you just spent your stash of  cash you’ve been saving for the past six months into that piece of artwork  you’ve etched in your mind, to pen and paper, to actually be driven out your driveway from your very own garage.

After all why not? Many others have, if they can, you can too, so now it’s your turn. “You will have a blast”.

We will be continually adding new posts on various subjects from finding a project through the construction stages to completion.

You and your friends will have the freedom to add your own content or comment on other project’s and offer advice or share your own experiences. You will get to see various type’s of Hot rod’s and Street rod’s which will help you make those decision’s for your own ride.

So check this video out and discover the reason’s as to why “Hot Rodding” and see Gene Winfield in action.
